Binance is shutting down Binance Pool and Cloud Mining on Nov. 10. Here is what miners must do

Key takeaways

  • Binance Pool stops accepting mining shares at 07:00 UTC on November 10, 2026, and its pages close for good on November 24.
  • Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, Transaction Accelerator, hashrate alerts and the mining APIs also end.
  • Rewards earned before the cutoff will be paid after the shutdown, subject to compliance and risk reviews.

The Binance Pool shutdown gives miners just four weeks to move their hardware. Binance said on October 13 that it will close Binance Pool, its cryptocurrency mining pool, along with Cloud Mining and several related products on November 10, 2026. After the cutoff, any hashrate pointed at the pool simply stops earning.

The exchange did not tie the move to a single cause. It described the closure as part of an "ongoing review of its products and services," according to Unchained. Still, the timing lands in a rough week for crypto, and it ends a six year run for one of the better known mining services attached to a major exchange.

What Binance announced

According to Unchained and Crypto Briefing, the pool stops accepting mining shares at 07:00 UTC on November 10, 2026. At that moment Binance will switch off its Stratum URLs and other mining endpoints, the addresses miners point their machines at. Links to the pool will also come off the Binance homepage that day.

The full list of services ending is longer than the pool itself:

  • Binance Pool
  • Pool Savings
  • Cloud Mining
  • Transaction Accelerator
  • Telegram hashrate alerts, email notifications and mining pool API access

Pool web pages will stay viewable until November 24, 2026, so users can check historical data, account records and payment status. After that, they are removed for good.

What the Binance Pool shutdown means for miners

The core rule is simple. Valid shares submitted before the cutoff still count. Anything after it does not. Unchained quotes the notice: "Hashrate submissions and mining shares submitted after this time will no longer be accepted, processed, or credited." No new rewards or yield build up after that point either.

Binance says remaining rewards, balances, refunds and qualifying settlements will be paid out after the shutdown. Those payouts stay subject to compliance and risk reviews and to the product terms, per Unchained. Crypto Briefing adds that the closure does not wipe out earnings accrued before the deadline.

Pool Savings and Cloud Mining users

Not everyone using these products runs a mining rig. Pool Savings and Cloud Mining were ways to earn from mining without owning hardware. If you hold a Pool Savings position, Binance expects you to withdraw it before the deadline. Cloud Mining ends on the same date.

Identity checks

Unchained reports that users who still need to complete identity verification must do so by 11:59 p.m. UTC on November 10 to keep their payouts moving. If your account has a pending verification request, this is the one item on the list with a hard personal deadline.

Brazil gets an earlier cutoff

Users in Brazil lose access sooner. Crypto Briefing reports that starting October 27, 2026, Binance is limiting several services for Brazilian users, Binance Pool among them, and links that change to new rules from Brazil's central bank. That gives Brazilian miners about two weeks less than everyone else. Binance has not said the global closure is connected to those rules.

Why it matters

Mining pools let individual miners combine their computing power so they earn smaller, steadier payouts instead of waiting a long time for a lucky block. Binance launched its pool in April 2020, starting with bitcoin mining and a full pay per share (FPPS) payout model, according to Unchained. FPPS pays miners for their work plus a share of transaction fees, which made it popular with operators who want predictable income.

When a pool tied to the world's largest exchange exits, miners who used it have to pick a new home, and that hashrate flows to other pools. For bitcoin itself, nothing changes about how the network works. Blocks keep coming and the rules stay the same. The shift is about who coordinates the work and collects the fees.

The move also fits a pattern of Binance trimming products and tightening operations. The company is already under scrutiny in the US, where the Justice Department is reviewing whether Binance complied with its 2023 settlement. There is no public sign the pool closure relates to that review, but it adds to the sense that the exchange is narrowing its focus.

A bad week for crypto sentiment

The announcement arrived as crypto markets were under pressure. CoinGabbar listed the pool closure alongside a wave of central bank rate hikes and South Korea's order to block access to 27 unregistered overseas exchanges as reasons for a weak market on October 13. It also cited SoSoValue data showing net outflows from both bitcoin and ether ETFs on October 12. Crypto Briefing, for its part, said early coverage had not reported a direct price reaction to the Binance news itself. Prices have been shaky for weeks, as we covered when bitcoin fell to $80,000.

Who is affected

  • Hardware miners who point machines at Binance Pool need a new pool before November 10.
  • Pool Savings holders need to withdraw their positions.
  • Cloud Mining customers lose the product on the same date.
  • Developers and operators who built dashboards or alerts on the Binance Pool API need to rebuild them, since API access and Telegram alerts also end.
  • Brazilian users face an earlier cutoff on October 27.

Regular Binance traders who never touched mining products are not affected by this change.

What to do before November 10

  1. Choose a new mining pool and test your machines on it before the deadline, not on the last day. Configuration mistakes cost hashrate.
  2. Withdraw any Pool Savings balance.
  3. Confirm your Binance account can receive the final payout, and finish identity verification if Binance has asked for it.
  4. Download reports and transaction history. This matters for records and for crypto taxes, since mining income is generally taxable when you receive it.
  5. Move earned coins to a wallet you control if that fits your setup. Our guide to how crypto wallets work explains the options.
